Stock Controller

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all food, resale, and beverage orders
  • Receive and issue stock according to company policies, maintaining portion control standards
  • Conduct weekly stock checks and daily cost calculations
  • Maintain organized storage areas (fridges, freezers, dry stores) with proper labeling and rotation
  • Process supplier invoices through My Market system
  • Minimize waste and manage leftover products effectively
  • Ensure strict hygiene standards and safe equipment handling
  • Handle customer feedback and maintain client/supplier relationships
  • Prepare detailed reports on stock quality and availability
  • Support team members and perform additional duties as required

Required Skills:

  • Strong communication abilities (verbal and written)
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems and software
  • Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments

Qualifications:

  • Matric certificate (essential)
  • 2+ years’ experience in stock control or related field
  • Experience with My Market system (preferred)
  • Background in healthcare/hospitality (advantageous)
