Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess workplace hazards to determine risk levels.
• Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Investigate incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Train employees on safe work practices and emergency procedures.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with safety standards.
• Organize emergency preparedness drills (e.g., fire evacuations).

Requirements:

• Grade 12 Matric Certificate
• ISO 14001 & 45001 certification
• 2 years of experience in a production environment

Skills Needed:

• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Knowledge of occupational health & safety (OHS)
• Incident investigation and root cause analysis
