Job Title: Food Service Assistant
Role Overview:
Join our team as a Food Service Assistant, where you’ll play a vital role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food quality, and customer satisfaction in our dining operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare meal components including salads, desserts, and sides
• Maintain organized and fully stocked serving areas
• Follow strict hygiene protocols and safety regulations
• Clean and sanitize dining areas, tables, and kitchen spaces
• Manage food inventories and record leftovers
• Assist in training new team members
• Address customer inquiries and escalate concerns when needed
• Complete shift reports and handover procedures
• Support team members with operational tasks as required
Requirements:
• Valid National Senior Certificate
• Minimum age: 18 years
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15kg
• Availability to work 45–50 hours per week
Ideal Candidate:
• Strong team player with good communication skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent time management
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments
• Knowledge of basic food safety practices (training provided)
• No history of food/detergent-related allergies
