General Assistant (External Applications Only)
Deliver exceptional service and maintain store standards
Job Purpose:
Provide customer support, manage merchandise displays, ensure accurate pricing, and maintain cleanliness across designated store areas.
Requirements:
- Education: Grade 10/NQF Level 3 + 1 year relevant experience OR Grade 12 qualification
- Fluent in English and local community language
- Valid SA ID/work permit
- Basic math skills
- Flexibility to work shifts/weekends/public holidays
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Guide customers on product selection
- Resolve queries and manage complaints
Store Operations:
- Stock merchandising per layout guidelines
- Ensure accurate shelf pricing
- Maintain aisle safety and accessibility
- Complete cleaning checklists (restrooms/canteen areas)
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) standards
- Report hazards promptly
- Monitor stock condition and report damages
