About the Role:
RCL Foods seeks a customer-focused Code 10 Driver Salesman to join our baking team. You’ll transport and sell bread/confectionery to retailers and traders, manage cash sales, acquire new customers, and deliver exceptional service. This role reports to the Distribution Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s License with PDP
- 3+ years FMCG driving/sales experience
- Strong English communication & numeracy skills
- Availability for weekends, holidays, and overtime
Key Responsibilities:
Operations:
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety standards
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections
- Accurately load/unload stock and track crates
- Follow road safety regulations and accident protocols
Sales & Service:
- Build relationships with existing/new customers
- Process orders and handle cash transactions securely
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends
- Resolve delivery issues promptly
Compliance:
- Complete delivery documentation accurately
- Report vehicle faults or incidents immediately
- Adhere to health/safety protocols at all times
General Requirements:
- Standby availability for operational emergencies
- Assist with loading/unloading when needed
- Wear required PPE consistently
