About the Role:
Join our team as a Cashier! You’ll handle Point of Sale (POS) transactions, maintain accurate records, and ensure smooth customer experiences. Your role is critical in managing payments, balancing cash, and supporting store operations.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 qualification or 1+ year of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in English and the local language
• Strong basic math and administrative skills
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Handling:

• Process transactions accurately using POS systems
• Balance cash floats, petty cash, and daily takings
• Manage change levels and secure cash in drop safes
• Verify payment types (cash, card, etc.) and resolve discrepancies

Customer Service:

• Provide friendly, efficient service at checkout
• Guide customers to appropriate staff for assistance
• Follow company dress code and professionalism standards

Safety & Compliance:

• Adhere to safety protocols (OHSA) and report risks
• Ensure secure handling of cash and POS system access

Administration:

• Complete and file transaction records accurately
• Follow company procedures for quotes, deliveries, and refunds

Additional Skills:

• Effective communication with team and customers
