General Assistant
Position Overview:
Join our team as a General Assistant to deliver excellent customer service, maintain store presentation, and ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
▪ Customer Service:
– Assist customers with product inquiries and resolve complaints promptly
– Provide friendly, knowledgeable support to enhance shopping experiences
▪ Merchandising & Stock Management:
– Arrange products according to store layout plans and safety standards
– Ensure accurate shelf labeling and timely restocking
– Report damaged goods to management
▪ Store Maintenance:
– Maintain clean, safe aisles free of obstacles
– Complete daily checklists for facility maintenance (canteen/toilet/shower areas)
▪ Safety Compliance:
– Follow all OHSA regulations and use protective equipment
– Monitor work areas for potential hazards
Requirements:
– Grade 10/NQF 3 + 1 year experience OR Grade 12 qualification
– Basic math skills and fluency in English + local language
– Valid SA ID/work permit
– Flexible availability (shifts, weekends, holidays)
– Physical stamina for standing/lifting
