Warehouse Assistant

Role Purpose:

Ensure smooth warehouse operations by managing the accurate flow of goods from arrival to dispatch, while maintaining safety standards and organizational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving: Verify shipment origins/destinations, report discrepancies, and store items in designated warehouse areas.
• Storage: Organize stock to prevent damage, follow safety protocols, and maintain clear labeling.
• Order Fulfillment: Prepare accurate shipments, coordinate deliveries, and resolve stock issues promptly.
• Dispatch: Plan cost-effective deliveries, verify addresses/contacts, and ensure proper documentation (PODs scanned daily).
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety policies, conduct vehicle inspections, and organize staff training.

Requirements:

• Matric/NQF 4 qualification
• 2+ years warehouse/delivery experience
• Valid Code EC driver’s license
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Forklift/reach truck certification (advantageous)
