About the Opportunity:
Lindsay Saker VW Midrand is offering an accredited Competency-Based Modular Training (CBMT) apprenticeship. This program combines hands-on workshop training with classroom learning at the Motus Technical Training Academy (MTTA). You’ll work alongside certified technicians while earning qualifications.
Training Program Details:
Structure: 4-year contract (Levels 1–4)
Learning includes:
• 5 weeks of classroom training at MTTA every 5 months
• Interactive online CDX modules for self-paced study
• Regular competency assessments and exams
• Practical experience at our service department
• Portfolio development under mentor guidance
What You’ll Do:
• Assist technicians with vehicle maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics
• Learn industry-standard practices aligned with Volkswagen specifications
• Document work for training evidence
• Follow safety protocols and workshop procedures
Requirements:
Essential qualifications:
• Matric certificate with Mathematics & Physical Science OR
• N2 certificate with Mathematics, Engineering Science & English (50%+ in all)
• Valid driver’s license
• Basic computer skills

• Psychometric evaluation & interview
