The University of Pretoria invites passionate veterinarians to apply for a structured internship program offering advanced clinical experience in production animals. Work alongside specialists in a world-class facility while gaining exposure to challenging cases and innovative veterinary practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical services under specialist supervision at our Production Animal Clinic
- Rotate through emergency/after-hours duties at OVAH and satellite facilities
- Support clinical training for veterinary students and nursing staff
- Participate in research projects and clinical rounds
- Engage in professional development through our intern mentorship program
Essential Requirements:
- BVSc/BVMCh degree or equivalent veterinary qualification
- Active registration with SAVC
- Demonstrated clinical competency
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Flexibility for after-hours rotations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in pursuing specialist training (e.g., MMedVet)
Remuneration: R334,338 annual package + additional compensation for night duties
